SVG Attachments Now Work, With Clearer Upload Errors

Attaching an SVG file to a task or comment no longer silently fails, and a file that can't be attached now explains why.

Summary

Attaching a file to a task or comment could silently fail — the comment posted, but the file never appeared, with no explanation. SVG files were the most common case. Tasks, comments and the AI Assistant now accept SVG files, and any file that can't be attached tells you exactly why.

What You Gain

A silent failure is the hardest kind to deal with, because there's nothing telling you what went wrong or what to try instead. Now, the moment you pick a file that's too large or an unsupported type, you're told immediately, before you've even finished writing your comment. Pickers also only offer files that will actually work, so there's less guessing in the first place.

How It Works

  • SVG files now attach cleanly to tasks, comments and the AI Assistant, downloaded rather than previewed inline.
  • Clear, immediate errors when a file's type isn't supported or it's over the 20 MB limit.
  • Smarter file pickers that only offer files that can actually be attached.
  • AI Chat stays focused on screenshots — JPG, PNG, GIF and WEBP only — and now says so clearly if you pick anything else, instead of dropping the upload silently.
