See Every Agent Run, and Why Each One Succeeded or Failed

An agent's Recent work now lists every run in full, with a plain-language reason for each failure and whether a later run fixed it.

Summary

An agent's Recent work section used to show only its newest 10 runs, with no way to see the rest, and a confusing count that mixed different time periods. It now lists every finished run, paged 20 at a time, each one explained in plain language — whether it completed, failed, or was later fixed by a retry.

What You Gain

Trusting an agent to work independently means being able to check its history when something looks off, but the old Recent work list only ever showed a handful of the most recent runs, with a count that didn't actually describe what you were looking at. If you wanted to know how an agent had been performing over the last month, there was no reliable way to see it.

Now every finished run is listed, filterable by Work, Review, Rework or Chat, with stopped runs and chat turns included. Each row tells its own story in words: whether the run completed, failed, or was stopped; where the task it worked on stands right now; the plain reason a failed run failed; and whether a later run on the same task succeeded, and by which agent. A handful of past runs that were wrongly recorded as having left work unfinished, even though their pull request had actually merged, have also been corrected and clearly marked, while runs that genuinely failed are left exactly as they were.

How It Works

  • Every run, not just the newest ones. Paged 20 at a time, with a count that matches what's shown.
  • Filter by kind. Work, Review, Rework or Chat, including stopped runs.
  • Plain-language status. Each row says whether the run completed, failed, or was stopped, and why.
  • Task context included. Each row also shows where the task itself currently stands.
  • Retry awareness. A row tells you if a later run fixed the same task, and whether it was an automatic retry.
  • Chat visibility respected. A chat turn only shows its title to people who could already open that chat.

Where to Find It
