A Rebuilt Chat Page With Rich Replies and Live Progress

The Chat page is rebuilt with formatted replies, file attachments, live progress while an agent works, and clear outcomes for every message.

Summary

Effigate Command Center's Chat page has been rebuilt from the ground up. Replies now render properly, you can attach files and write longer messages comfortably, and you can watch an agent's progress live instead of waiting in silence for an answer.

What You Gain

Chatting with an agent used to feel like sending a message into a black box: replies came back as plain text even with lists, code, or tables, there was no way to see what the agent was doing while you waited, and attaching a screenshot wasn't possible. A long chat also reloaded awkwardly, and leaving the page mid-message lost what you'd started typing.

Now a reply with a code sample displays as a proper code block you can copy with one click, a table renders as a table, and a diagram renders as a diagram. While the agent works, you see exactly what it's doing — reading files, running a command, or making an edit — with a running timer and a Stop button if you want to interrupt it. Attach a screenshot by pasting it into the box, and it shows up as a thumbnail you can open full size.

How It Works

  • Formatted replies. Headings, lists, code blocks, tables and diagrams render properly, with a one-click copy button on every message.
  • Room to write. The message box grows as you type, and an unfinished draft is kept if you navigate away and back.
  • Attach files easily. Paste a screenshot or drop files onto the box, up to 10 per message, shown as openable thumbnails.
  • Live progress. You see the agent's current step with a timer and a Stop button; once it replies, steps collapse into a summary with a link to the full transcript.
  • Clear outcomes. If a message couldn't be answered, the chat explains why, and a stopped answer is marked stopped with the time it took.
  • Smoother navigation. Long chats load older messages on demand, and archiving or deleting your chat moves you cleanly to the next one.

Where to Find It

The rebuilt Chat page is live now for everyone using Chat with Agents in Effigate Command Center, on the web app, with no setup required.
