Checklist Items Typed Into A New Task Are No Longer Lost
Checklist items typed into the new-task window before saving are now kept and created together with the task, instead of silently disappearing.
Summary
Typing a checklist item into the new-task window and pressing Enter or clicking add now keeps that item, ready to be saved along with the rest of the task. Previously, doing this before the task existed cleared the input and added nothing, with no indication anything had gone wrong.
What You Gain
Before this fix, adding a checklist item while still filling out a brand-new task simply didn't work — the input cleared as if it had been added, but nothing was actually saved, because the task didn't exist yet to save it against. It was easy to type out a short checklist while setting up a task, move on, and only later discover none of it had actually been kept.
Now checklist items typed before the task is created are held right there in the new-task window, fully editable — check them off, rename them, or remove them — the same as any other part of the form. Everything you've entered, including the checklist, is created together in one step when you click Create task, so there's no moment where a half-finished task exists without the checklist you just typed.
How It Works
- Checklist items stay in the new-task window. Add, check, rename, or remove items before the task is even created.
- Everything saves together. Clicking Create task saves the task and its checklist in one step.
- No half-created tasks. If you close the window before creating the task, nothing is left behind partially saved.
Where to Find It
This applies automatically the next time you open the new-task window on Effigate Command Center — there's nothing to turn on.
