Claiming An Agent's Task Now Fully Hands It To You

Claiming a task that was assigned to an agent now actually takes it over, instead of leaving the agent still assigned alongside you.

Summary

Claiming a task that was assigned to an agent now fully takes it over. Previously, claiming left the agent's assignment in place alongside yours, so the task kept behaving as if the agent still owned it even after you'd claimed it.

What You Gain

Before this fix, "claiming" an agent-assigned task added you as a member assignee but didn't remove the agent — so the task ended up with both an agent and a person assigned at once, an inconsistent state that every screen then had to interpret on its own. In practice, the task kept showing and behaving as the agent's, so claiming it looked like it had quietly done nothing.

Now claiming is a genuine take-over: assigning yourself to a task that was previously an agent's clears that agent assignment, on the board, in the task window, and on the web, so there's only ever one clear owner. Existing tasks that were left in that mixed state have also been cleaned up automatically to match what you were already seeing on screen.

How It Works

  • Claiming replaces the agent, every time. Whichever screen you claim from, the agent assignment is cleared and you become the task's owner.
  • Creating or editing a task follows the same rule. If a task is set to both a person and an agent at once, the agent takes precedence consistently, so what's stored always matches what's displayed.
  • No cleanup needed on your side. Tasks that were previously stuck in the mixed state have already been corrected.

Where to Find It

This takes effect automatically wherever you claim a task — the board, the task window, or the web app. There's nothing to turn on.
