Set Your Workspace Timezone, and See Real Timestamps on Hover
Your workspace now has its own timezone and country setting, every relative timestamp shows the exact time on hover, and GitHub merges post into task comments.
Summary
Your workspace now has its own timezone and country setting in Settings, every relative timestamp in the product shows the exact date and time when you hover over it, and a merged pull request now posts directly into the task's own comment thread, not just an activity log.
What You Gain
Previously, every relative time shown across the product — "2 days ago," for example — told you how long ago something happened, but not exactly when, making it hard to tell if an event landed during business hours or lined up with something else you cared about. There was also no workspace-level timezone at all, so every relative time defaulted to a generic reference point regardless of where your team actually works. Separately, when a pull request merged on GitHub, that information reached your Slack channel and the people following the task, but never appeared in the task's own comment history, so the thread didn't tell the complete story of what happened.
Now you can set your workspace's timezone and country directly in Settings, with a searchable picker instead of a long list to scroll through. Every relative timestamp across the product — in comments, your notifications, your Decision Queue, and your dashboard's activity feed — shows the real date and time, in your workspace's timezone, when you hover over it. And a pull request merging now posts directly into the task's own comment thread, credited to GitHub itself, alongside the existing Slack and assignee notifications.
How It Works
- Set your workspace's timezone and country from Settings → Workspace, with search to find either quickly.
- Hover any relative timestamp anywhere in the product to see the exact date and time, adjusted to your workspace's timezone.
- A merged pull request now appears directly in the task's own comment thread, in addition to the notifications you already received.
Where to Find It
Set your timezone and country under Settings → Workspace. Until you do, times default to UTC. The hover timestamps and merge comments apply automatically with no setup needed.
