Talk To Your Agents Directly From Slack
Agents are now reachable from Slack — DM one, @-mention it in a channel, or file a task with a quick command, no need to open the app.
Summary
Agents are now reachable from Slack: DM one directly, @-mention it in a channel, or file a new task with a simple command — connected either through a public link or through a mode that needs no public URL at all.
What You Gain
Before this, getting an agent to do something meant opening Effigate Command Center itself, even if the conversation that prompted the idea happened in Slack. Now the gap between "we were just talking about this in Slack" and "an agent is working on it" disappears.
Picture a team discussing a bug in a shared channel: instead of someone switching tools to file and assign a task, anyone in that channel can @-mention the agent right there, or use a simple command to turn the conversation into a tracked task — the agent picks it up without anyone leaving Slack.
How It Works
- Direct messages. DM an agent privately the same way you'd message a teammate.
- @-mentions in a channel. Bring an agent into a group conversation by mentioning it, and it responds in context.
- A quick task command. File a new task straight from Slack with a simple command, no need to open the app.
- Two ways to connect. Set it up with a public link, or with a mode that needs no public URL at all — useful for teams that can't expose one.
Where to Find It
Set up the Slack integration from your workspace settings; once connected, every teammate in your Slack can start using it immediately. This builds on connecting Slack for your agents — the same connection now reaches you back, not just the other way around.
