Projects, Tasks, Agents And A Desktop App Arrive

Summary

This month, the pieces that make up Effigate Command Center today first came together: projects to hold your work, tasks to break it down, AI agents to carry it out, and a desktop app that lets an agent run on your own machine. Together they form the core loop every team now builds on.

What You Gain

Before this, there was no single place to connect a piece of work to the agent that should do it. Projects now give every initiative its own home — its tasks, its agents, its history, all in one spot you can share with a team. Tasks turn a goal into something trackable: who owns it, what state it's in, and what happened along the way.

Agents are the AI workers you assign that task to, and the desktop app is what lets one of them actually reach your own computer and its tools, instead of running somewhere you can't see. Picture a small team that wants an agent to update a project on a developer's own laptop: the desktop app is what makes that possible, instead of the agent being limited to a sandbox with no access to anyone's real files.

How It Works

  • Projects organize related tasks, agents and history under one roof, so a team always knows where a piece of work lives.
  • Tasks carry a piece of work from idea to done, with a status your team can follow.
  • Agents are assigned to tasks and do the actual work — writing, researching, fixing, building — based on what the task asks for.
  • The desktop app runs quietly in the background on your own computer, so an agent assigned to you can use your machine directly instead of a disconnected sandbox.

Where to Find It

Projects, tasks and agents are available to every account from the start; the desktop app is a separate download for whoever wants an agent working on their own machine.
