Turn Bug Reports From Any Page Into Ready-To-Work Tasks

A new browser extension lets you click and annotate a bug right on the page, then turns it into a task your agents can act on.

Summary

Reporting a visual bug usually means a screenshot, a paragraph trying to describe exactly what's wrong, and hoping whoever (or whatever) fixes it understands which element you meant. A new browser extension replaces that with direct annotation: click on the broken element, mark what's wrong, and send it straight into Effigate Command Center as a task ready for an agent to pick up.

What You Gain

Before this, turning something you noticed on a staging or preview page into a task meant describing it in words — which button, which screen, what state it was in — and often attaching a screenshot that still left room for misunderstanding. An agent picking up that task had to interpret a description and a static image to guess what you meant, which slowed things down and sometimes led to the wrong fix.

Now you point at the actual problem. Click the extension's icon on any page you're reviewing, then click an element, select text, or draw a box around an area that's wrong. Add a short note on what's wrong, and submit — the task that lands in your project already has a precise reference to the exact spot you flagged, not just a screenshot and a guess.

How It Works

  • Mark it your way. Click a single element, highlight text, group a few related elements, or draw a rough region — whichever fits what you're flagging.
  • Freeze the page first when something you want to mark is about to change or disappear, so you can still catch it.
  • Add your note and how urgent it is, then pick which project the task should go to.
  • A screenshot is captured automatically, so the task carries both your note and the visual context, with no extra steps.
  • Sign in once with an emailed code or an access token, and the extension is ready whenever you spot something worth flagging.

Where to Find It

Install the extension in Chrome or Firefox and sign in with your Effigate Command Center account; it works on any page you're reviewing. Each submission becomes a task in the project you choose.
