Task Descriptions Display Correctly, Plus View Prompt
Task descriptions now display your actual text everywhere, and a new View Prompt option lets you see exactly what an agent receives.
Summary
Task descriptions now show your actual written description everywhere a task appears — the mobile app, the CLI, and the API — instead of occasionally showing the much longer internal brief an agent works from. Alongside that fix, a new View Prompt option in the task menu lets you see that internal brief on purpose, whenever you want to.
What You Gain
Previously, some ways of reading a task's description returned the full internal brief an agent uses to work on it — project context, team information, and implementation notes — instead of the shorter description you actually wrote. On mobile and in the CLI, that showed up as a long wall of text that didn't match what you saw on the web. In a small number of cases, a tool that read a task this way and saved it back ended up overwriting the real description with that longer text; any task affected this way has already had its original description restored.
Now every way of reading a task — web, mobile, CLI, and the API — consistently returns the description you wrote, not the agent's working brief. And since that fuller brief is still genuinely useful to see on purpose, it's now available deliberately: a View Prompt option in the task's menu shows it in a readable, formatted view, exactly as an agent would receive it when picking up the task.
How It Works
- Descriptions are consistent everywhere. Web, mobile, the CLI, and the API all show the same description you wrote for a task.
- View Prompt shows the agent's full brief on demand. Open it from the task's menu to see the complete context an agent uses to work on that task.
- Already-affected tasks were restored. The small number of tasks whose descriptions were previously overwritten have had their original text put back.
Where to Find It
View Prompt is in the task's ⋯ menu inside the task window, available on every Effigate Command Center account. The description fix is already live everywhere, with nothing to configure.
