A Branded Customer Portal for Sharing Project Progress

Effigate Command Center now offers a branded Customer Portal where you share live project progress with your own customers, without exposing internal details.

Summary

Effigate Command Center now includes a Customer Portal: a separate, branded space where you can share the progress of a project with your own customers, carrying your logo and colors instead of ours. You choose exactly what they see, task by task, and nothing is visible until you turn it on.

What You Gain

Before this, keeping a customer updated on project progress meant exporting a status update by hand, or giving them raw access to your internal board, comments and all. Neither is a great option: one is slow, the other hands over far more than you want a customer to see — assignees, estimates, priorities and conversations meant for your team.

The Customer Portal gives you a middle path. Turn it on for a project and your customer sees their tasks as a clean list, with a title, a plain-language status, and nothing else: no internal fields, no priorities, no who-is-doing-what. Any task you'd rather keep internal stays internal with a single switch — it simply never appears on their side. Picture a client who's been asking for a progress update every Friday: once their project is shared, they can check it themselves at any time, see what stage each item is in, and leave a comment or request directly, instead of you writing a recap email each week.

How It Works

  • Set it up once. Turn on the Customer Portal in Settings, upload your logo, and pick an accent color — the portal then carries your brand, not Effigate's.
  • Share a project, task by task. Turning on sharing for a project exposes its tasks automatically; any task you mark internal is excluded, and nothing is shared until you choose to share it.
  • Your board, their language. Your own board columns are translated into customer-friendly stages, and you can rename how each stage reads to them.
  • One inbox per project. Your customer gets a single conversation list for each shared project — searchable, with formatted messages and screenshots — plus a Home page summarizing progress and recent activity.
  • Requests stay separate from your team's comments. Anything a customer asks for lands in its own Requests queue inside Command Center, never mixed into your team's internal task discussion. Reply and they see it in the portal and by email; add an internal note and it stays yours. One click turns a request straight into a task, pre-filled with the customer's own words.
  • You control access. Invite people from a customer's page; they get a branded email and set their own password or sign in with a one-time link. Resend an invite, reset a password, or revoke access at any time.

Where to Find It

The Customer Portal is available now on every Effigate Command Center account. Turn it on in Settings → Customer Portal, then enable sharing from any project's settings — it's off by default until you choose to share.
