@Mentions in Task Comments Now Always Notify People
Mentioning a teammate in a task's comment box now reliably notifies them and highlights correctly, matching how mentions already worked elsewhere.
Summary
Mentioning someone by name in a task's comment box didn't always notify them — a gap that made it easy to assume a teammate had been looped in when they hadn't. Mentions typed from the task view now behave exactly like mentions typed anywhere else in Effigate Command Center: the person is notified, and the mention is visibly highlighted.
What You Gain
Before this fix, mentioning a person's name in a comment posted directly from a task's detail view was unreliable: unless that person was already following the task for some other reason, they received no notification at all. Mentioning an agent still worked as expected, but a human teammate could be mentioned and never know it. The highlighted, colored styling that marks a mention was also inconsistent — a mention typed in a different letter case than the person's actual name would still notify them correctly behind the scenes, but wouldn't visually highlight, making it look like the mention had failed even when it hadn't.
Now, mentioning a person from a task's comment box notifies them every time, and the mention is styled consistently no matter how you capitalize their name.
How It Works
- Typing
@and a teammate's name in a task's comment box notifies them, the same as mentioning them from chat or the command line. - The mention is visually highlighted correctly regardless of capitalization.
- This brings the task view's comment box in line with every other place in the product where mentions already worked this way.
Where to Find It
No setup needed — this applies automatically the next time you mention someone from a task's comment box.
