Staged Task Chains No Longer Get Stuck

A staged sub-task chain no longer stalls if the parent task finishes first, and a periodic check now self-heals any stage that was missed.

Summary

A staged chain of sub-tasks no longer gets stuck if the parent task happens to finish before the chain does. Each finished stage now reliably opens the next one, whatever state the parent is in.

What You Gain

If a parent task's own work finished before its staged sub-tasks did, the next stage could end up waiting forever instead of starting — a frustrating dead end with no obvious cause. Now finishing a stage always opens the next one, regardless of what's happening on the parent task, so a staged plan reliably runs to completion. This closes a gap the fix that got stages actually running didn't cover: the parent task finishing first.

How It Works

  • Stage releases are independent of the parent's state. A finished stage always opens the next one.
  • A periodic safety check runs every few minutes, automatically releasing any stage that should have started but didn't — without affecting a stage someone deliberately paused on purpose.

Where to Find It

This applies automatically to every staged breakdown; nothing to configure.
