Labels Work Properly on Mobile, and Sprints Are Editable
Labels on the mobile task page now match the web app exactly, and a new Sprint row lets you move a task into or out of any sprint right from your phone.
Summary
Labels on the mobile app's task page now work exactly the way they do on the web, and tasks gain a new Sprint row, so you can move a task into any sprint of its project — or out of sprints entirely — directly from your phone.
What You Gain
Labels on mobile had a few rough edges: the list of labels you could add sometimes only showed options that weren't actually meant to be set manually, which — for most teams — meant every attempt to add a label quietly failed, even though it looked like it had worked. The label picker could also fail to open for some roles entirely. On top of that, there was previously no way to move a task between sprints from the mobile app at all.
Now the label picker lists only the labels you're actually allowed to apply, opens correctly for anyone who can edit the task, and shows each label's own colour as a chip, with special labels marked and a clear way to remove the ones you're allowed to change. And the new Sprint row on the task page lets you move any task into a different sprint, or out of sprints altogether, right from your phone — as long as you have permission to change the task's project.
How It Works
- Add shows only labels you can actually set, rather than ones reserved for automatic use.
- The label picker opens for everyone who can edit the task, not just certain roles.
- Chips show each label's colour, with special labels marked and removable ones showing a clear way to take them off.
- Permissions match the web app throughout.
- A new Sprint row on the task page lets you move a task into any sprint of its project, or remove it from sprints entirely.
Where to Find It
Both improvements are on the task page in the latest version of the mobile app, for anyone with edit access to the task.
