Mobile Widgets Open Reliably, Tasks Filter by Project

The mobile app's home-screen widgets now open reliably, Tasks can be filtered by project and sprint, and each task shows its agent's live run stage.

Summary

The Effigate mobile app gets a batch of reliability and usability improvements: home-screen widgets now open the app properly every time, Tasks can be filtered down to one project and sprint, each task shows its agent's current run stage at a glance, and a new Graphite colour theme rounds things out.

What You Gain

Home-screen widgets could previously leave the app stuck on a loading spinner, especially right after unlocking your phone, with no way to recover except force-closing it. And on a busy workspace, the Tasks list showed everything at once, with only a status filter to narrow it down — making it hard to focus on just the sprint or project you cared about on a small screen.

Now a tap on a widget opens the app and keeps trying until your sign-in loads, telling you what it's waiting for and offering to continue if it takes more than a few seconds. Tasks can be filtered by project, then by one of its sprints or tasks with no sprint, with active filters shown above the list and cleared with a tap. And each task shows its agent's live status right there, with its own colour, so you can tell at a glance whether an agent is working, idle, blocked, in error, or offline.

How It Works

  • Widgets that actually open. A failed sign-in read is retried automatically, with a status message and a manual option if it takes too long; Android widgets now open the app at all.
  • Filter Tasks by project and sprint, alongside the existing status filter, with active filters shown above the list.
  • Live run-stage badges on each task, naming the working agent and showing queued runs.
  • Colour-coded agent status: Working, Idle, Blocked, Error, Offline.
  • Pick a task's review agent on mobile, the same options you'd see on the web.
  • New Graphite colour theme and a refreshed grey palette across backgrounds, cards, and text, in light and dark mode.

Where to Find It

Update to the latest version of the Effigate mobile app; the new filters live on the Tasks tab, and the Graphite theme is under Appearance in Settings.
