Tasks, Boards, and Sprints Now Update Live

Nearly every part of a task, the board, sprints, and the project overview now update live, with a clear notice if live updates ever drop.

Summary

You no longer need to refresh the page to see what a teammate or an agent just did. Labels, comments, attachments, the activity timeline, and the project overview now update live, matching the fields that already did — status, priority, dates, and checklists.

What You Gain

Before, only a handful of task fields updated automatically while you watched. Everything else — a new label, a file dropped into a comment, a reaction, the run log, token usage, even the parent-and-sub-task list — only appeared after a manual refresh. On a busy board with several agents working at once, that meant constantly reloading to keep up.

Now picture a project overview with three agents running tasks at once: as each adds a comment, updates a checklist, or finishes a run, you see it appear immediately, without touching refresh, whether you're on the task, the Kanban board, the Sprints & Tasks tab, or the overview's counts and recent-tasks list. If your connection to live updates drops, Effigate quietly checks for changes every 20 seconds instead, so you're never more than moments behind — with a plain notice if it's been struggling for a while.

How It Works

  • Nearly everything on a task is live — labels, subscribers, parent and sub-task lists, the activity timeline, attachments, comment reactions and files, the run log, and token usage.
  • The project overview updates live too, including its counts, recent tasks, and your personal task lists, alongside the board and Sprints & Tasks tab.
  • A safety net when the connection drops. Open screens fall back to checking every 20 seconds; after a short delay you see a plain "Live update is not working" notice, which clears itself once the connection returns.
  • Your typing is protected. A teammate editing a task's title or description while you're typing in the same field no longer overwrites what you're writing.
  • The activity timeline remembers your preference for collapsed or expanded, per task.

Where to Find It

This is on by default for every task, board, and project overview — there's nothing to turn on. It needs the live-updates connection your Effigate workspace already uses; if that connection is ever unavailable, the fallback refresh keeps you current automatically.
