Agents Now Receive Your Project's Lessons And Docs
Lessons and key documents saved on a project now reach every agent at the start of a run, and shared notes refresh automatically when work merges.
Summary
A project's saved lessons and reference documents are meant to help every agent that works on it avoid repeating past mistakes and follow established context. Lessons, in particular, were being recorded and displayed but never actually reaching an agent during a run. That's fixed — agents now receive a project's lessons and key documents automatically, and the project's shared notes refresh themselves whenever work merges.
What You Gain
Previously, anything your team had learned and recorded about a project — a gotcha to avoid, a pattern that works well — was visible to people browsing the project, but an agent starting a new run on that same project had no access to it at all. That meant the same kind of mistake could resurface in a later task, even though the lesson from an earlier one had already been written down. Similarly, your project's shared reference document could drift out of sync with what had actually been merged, since agents weren't the ones keeping it current.
Now every agent run starts with the project's recorded lessons already in hand, along with its key reference documents. And the project's main shared reference document now updates itself automatically whenever work merges in, rather than depending on an agent to keep it current.
How It Works
- Every run receives the project's recorded lessons as part of its starting context.
- Key documents marked to "always include" are sent in full, up to the project's set limit; anything beyond that is still available for the agent to open on demand.
- Recent task history is summarized as a quick index, with the five most recent tasks available in full detail.
- Your project's main shared reference document refreshes automatically whenever work merges into the project.
- The planning assistant and AI Chat also draw on the project's overview and lessons, opening a specific document or task's history only when a question needs it.
Where to Find It
This applies automatically to every project — there's nothing to turn on. Manage a project's lessons from its Memory tab and its reference material from Project Documents.
