Only A Human Or A Merged Pull Request Closes A Task
An agent can no longer mark its own task Done — closing one now always takes a human approval or an actually merged pull request.
Summary
An agent can no longer mark its own task Done — that now takes a human approving the work, or its pull request actually merging. Every run also now leaves a result comment, and comment replies notify the person being replied to.
What You Gain
Previously, it was possible for an agent's own judgment about "done" to be the only thing closing out a task, with no guaranteed human checkpoint and no guaranteed comment explaining what happened. That left room for a task to close without anyone having actually looked at the result.
Now closing a task always means one of two things happened: a person reviewed and approved it, or the change actually shipped through a merged pull request. And you'll always get a comment explaining what a run did, even if it finished without saying anything itself.
How It Works
- Only humans or merges close tasks — an agent's own assessment is no longer enough.
- A result comment is guaranteed on every run, even a silent one.
- Reply notifications now reach the specific person being replied to, not just the thread.
Where to Find It
Applies automatically to every task and every agent — nothing to configure.
