Approving A Pull Request On GitHub Now Notifies Your Team

Merging a task's pull request on GitHub now moves it to Done and notifies the assignee, managers and Slack, same as an in-app approval.

Summary

Merging a task's pull request on GitHub now moves the task to Done and notifies the assignee, managers, and your connected Slack — the same as approving it from inside Effigate Command Center.

What You Gain

Previously, approving work directly on GitHub, rather than inside the product, didn't carry the same notifications as an in-app approval, so teammates might not find out a task was done until they checked manually. Now both paths behave the same way.

How It Works

Merge the pull request on GitHub as you normally would; the task moves to Done and the same notifications go out as if you'd approved it in Effigate Command Center.

Where to Find It

Works automatically for every project connected to GitHub.
